About the Workshop

  • Network and learn from your colleagues at the 5th Annual Alabama Library Support Staff Workshop being held May 17th, 2024 at Kares Library on the campus of Athens State University.      

  • The workshop will run from approximately 10am-3pm. Dress comfortably for a day of learning and camaraderie with other library staff members, both public and academic!                                 

  • Kares Library will provide breakfast & lunch and registration is free. You are invited to arrive from 9am-10am for early socializing and breakfast.                                                                                                

  • We give away door prizes at several times throughout the day (must be present to win). If your library brings the most attendees, each person from your group will receive a special gift!                      

  • Library staff who work outside the state of Alabama are welcome!   

  • Kares Library is located at 407 Pryor Street East, Athens AL 35611. Directions from Google Maps to Athens State University will route you to Founders Hall, so be sure to use the Pryor Street address!  Free parking is available next door to Kares Library.
